Villa Cavrois

An architectural manifestoi, the Villa Cavrois is an iconic masterpiece by the architect, Robert Mallet-Stevens, a leading light in the modernist movement. It was designed and built for Paul Cavrois, an industrialist in the local textile industry, and his family. The agenda behind this modern castle, which was commisioned in 1929, is is clear: "Air, light, work, sport, hygiene, comfort, and cost."
